i fall into day
now the place of
dreams and
pretend
night instantly
no longer
the hours of
make believe
but still i
escape under
the swelling
of the moon
where the
affirmation of
love plays
where the glow
of electricity
warms the dark
day has slipped
into a cold slumber
and i am trapped
in between
while night waits
to regain its sleepy
crown of dreams
and sand
from day
it’s jealous
half-sister
