oh how many times
again and again
i keep spiraling spiraling
down rabbit holes
vortexes
of my subconscious
through the illusion
of my self the fun house
mirror of truth
distorted for laughs
instead of horror
face to face with the
grotesque realization
that ugliness and beauty
are strange chemical reactions
firing deep inside
corpuscles and synapses
unbroken lost highways
trapped inside a
one-hundred
and forty-five pound universe
there aren’t days
weeks months
or years
only moments
each more confusing
and complicated
than the next
and it’s all so simple
when you really think about it
then forget
it’s all so simple
